Last year, rumors began to fly when Jena Malone was spotted on the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Speculation began on how she could be involved and what role she would be playing. The ideas that were thrown out there ranged from Harley Quinn (prior to Margot Robbie being cast in that role in Suicide Squad) to Carrie Kelley, a female version of Robin. Now there are new reports coming out that she has actually been cast as Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl aka Oracle. Although, no official conformation has been made as of yet I have to say this is probablly my favorite possibly yet! So lets hope we find out soon…
What I do know is that whatever role Jena Malone has been cast as it must be a fairly important character or at least provide something major the plot. When rumors first began Warner Bros. reacted swiftly to squash any and all talk about the topic which, at least to me, indicates that it was something they are trying to keep a closely guarded secret and in turn it must be an important aspect of the movie.
I think everyone remembers “Do you Want To Build A Snowman?”, the hit song from Disney’s Frozen and its back AGAIN but this time it has received a fully-animated parody featuring Harley Quinn.
The parody, “Do You Wanna Kill The Batman?” opens with Harley Quinn trying to coax The Joker out of his cell for some criminally insane fun – reminicent of how Princess Anna tries to coax Princess Elsa out of her room to build a snowman in Frozen.
The parody is brief and animator Michael Smith goes on to show a break down his animation process.
Make sure you stick around for the end replay of the parody where a suprise guest makes an appearence!

With the recent announcements from Marvel, DC, Fox and Sony it appears that there is going to be a new record number of Superhero Movies released in 2017.
So far Marvel Studios, DC Entertainment and Fox have announced their plans to release seven films featuring comic book superheroes for the year 2017. A new record for the most superhero movies released in one year since the recent trend began. There are actually eight films planned for 2017 but the information on Sony’s film is still developing and has not yet been given an official release date. It is also important to point out that while release dates have been announced and set not all of these dates have been given correlating titles.
Here is a breakdown of who plans on releasing what number of movies and when:
- Marvel has three movies planned for 2017 (May, July and November)
- DC has two movies planned for 2017 (June and November)
- Fox has announced their plan for sequels for both “The Wolverine” and “Fantastic Four,”
- Sony has announced that they are developing a Spider-Man spinoff centered around a female heroine for the year 2017 but no further information has been announced.
I will post more information about these movies as it becomes available!
